What is Pipe Lining?
Cured-in-place-pipe, or CIPP pipe lining, is a means of repairing your existing pipes where they sit. The system requires no digging, no opening of your walls, and is fail proof. With CIPP pipe lining we are in and out leaving behind no mess and no need for extra repairs to your walls or floors.
How Does it Work?
Pipe lining companies use a flexible tube coated with an epoxy resin. They use high pressure air to send this down your pipe and seat it against the pipe's interior walls. It will dry quickly and become a new seamless pipe with a minimal reduction in the original diameter.
They can address branch pipes one of two ways. In larger diameter systems, such as sewer pipe lining, they will send a robot down the pipe to cut out holes to open up the branches. In smaller pipes, they measure out the liner and make the necessary cuts before they begin the installation.
How Quick is the Process?
The answer depends on the size of the job, but most residential pipe linings, such as installing cast iron pipe lining, can be completed in 1-2 days. The elimination of the need to dig trenches, and remove walls, has sped the repair process up a great deal. Prep, clean up, and wall repairs used to take up the majority of our time but is now all but a bad memory.
If you do need pipe lining, our professionals will leave no mess behind. They will address your repair needs with a speed you'll find hard to believe and courtesy you won't forget. Call us at NuFlow St. Louis today to schedule an inspection of your sewer or drain lines.
